- 3 cups of flour
- 1 sachet dry yeast (9g)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 1 tbsp oregano or dry basil (optional)
- Mix the water with the yeast well and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then add in the sugar, salt and flour gradually. Once it starts forming into a dough, transfer it onto a clean bench and knead until the dough is ready. It should not stick to your hands so if needed, add some more flour!
- In a clean deep bowl, add the olive oil then place the dough inside. Flip it over so that the olive oil goes on the other side too. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for at least an hour. You might want to check up on it just incase it rises too much and sticks to your towel! Then all you need to do is knead it gently and let it rise for an extra 10 minutes.
- After the time has passed, place on your bench and with a rolling pin, roll out onto your pizza base! If you want to make it in a rectangular tray, I suggest you double the dosage of this recipe! Good luck!
