WHAT IS ROCK SAMPHIRE?
Rock samphire is a plant known since antiquity for its therapeutic qualities and its particular characteristic flavor.
It contains nutrients such as iodine, vitamin e, c, k and mineral salts. It is also rich in high quality antioxidants and fat omega -3. It stimulates skin renewal, it is beneficial for the liver and kidney’s malfunctions and has aphrodisiac qualities.
USES AND TASTY COMBINATIONS
It is an ideal delicacy for ouzo and it goes perfectly with fish and seafood as well. It is served in greek salads and boiled vegetables by adding a unique flavor. Its essential oils are an indispensable ingredient in aromatic or spicy sauces that garnish fish or meat. Combined with rusk, feta, graviera cheese, omelettes , you can taste it with boiled rice, chickpeas, lentils and beans or on its own like a cold salad.
